He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Fritel and Catherine Fritel (Brossart); his siblings, Janice Fritel, Will Fritel, Ed Fritel and Ernie Fritel; and his brothers-in-law, Richard Heilman and Vince Bachmeier.
He is survived by: his wife Jackie Brainerd of West Fargo, ND; his children, Brady Fritel (Liz) and Heather Fritel of Moorhead, MN; his grandchildren, Isabel and Eli Fritel; his siblings, Joe Fritel (Naomi), Frank Fritel, Bea Bachmeier, Elsie Leonard (Harvey), Marge Heilman, Ray Fritel (Judy) and Kathy Hagel (Doug); and his sisters-in-law, Lorraine, Pat and Debbie Fritel. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
His last act on this earth was to donate his body tissues to those in need.
