He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Rabanus and Alma Rabanus; his siblings, Pearl Rabanus McCloskey and Richard Rabanus (Karla); his parents-in-law, Fred and Agnes Berndt; his son-in-law Rick Clemenson; his siblings-in-law, Norma Berndt, Adeline, Winny Giese (Bob) and Harlan Berndt; and his nephews, Kevin McCloskey, David Steen and Curtis Steen.

He is survived by: his wife Rhoda Berndt (West Fargo); his children, Renaye Clemenson (West Fargo) and Mitch Olson (West Fargo); his grandchildren, Mandy Clemenson of Minneapolis, MN and David (Nicole) Clemenson (Fargo); his great grandchildren, Rick and Harley Clemenson of Fargo, ND; his sister-in-law LaVonne Berndt of Canby, MN; his nieces and nephews, Kris Ann Pietruszewski (Myron), Shannon McCloskey, Tim McCloskey (Kami), Greg McCloskey, Randy McCloskey (Diana), Matthew Rabanus (Bhakti), Ian Rabanus, Janice Steen, Sandy Steen, Patty Holm (Jim), Wendy Mullins (Roger), Tammy Berndt, Julie Berndt, Terry Berndt (Cheryl), Jamie Parsley, Scott Steen (Shawn Gensch), Shawn Steen, Sherman Steen, Kyle Steen (Sherry) and Matthew Steen (Julie); and his friends, Eric and Angie Flesberg.
