He is survived by: his grandchild Mapleton; his son Nathan Vaagene; his stepsons, Matthew Pladson of West Fargo, ND and Eric Pladson of Hatton, ND.; his grandchildren, Amber, Jessica, Connor, Brittany, Kayley, Kaitlynn, Noah and Avery; his great grandchildren, Ayden, Colter, Atticus and Sylvia; his siblings, Rita Bristlin and Gary Vaagene; and his sister-in-law Joy Vaagene of Hatton, ND.. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
