He was predeceased by : his parents, Gordon Halverson and Mary Halverson (Anderson); his sister Marilyn; his brother-in-law Everett Johnson; and his nephews, Rick Halverson and Allen Johnson.

He is survived by : his wife Diane Groth; his daughters, Kathleen Halverson and Julie Mauch (Chad); his brother Lyle (Sandy); his nephew Scott Johnson; and his nieces, Deana Halverson, Rachel Halverson and Heather Halverson (Gary).
