He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Dahl and Constance Dahl; his grandparents, Dorrie and Curtis; his wife Dorrie Rauk; his brother Dennis; his brother-in-law Wes Rauk; and his nephews, Butch Hoff, Tim and Larry Rauk.
He is survived by: his cousin Loren Martinson; his daughter Candess Grindeland (Kevin); his grandsons, Jason Grindeland (Angela) of Fargo, Justin Grindeland of Williston and Joshua Grindeland of Fargo; his sister-in-law Karon Syrtveit; his nieces and nephews, Jim Hoff, Kari Martin, Andres and Karla Henson; his brother-in-law Maynard Rauk (Marlene); his niece Kathy; his friend Gary Enget; and also Jason.
A few other hobbies included building bird houses, and Christmas lights to sell or donate to silent auctions.
