He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Etzel and Adelle Etzel (Axelson); his siblings, Leonard Etzel and Janet Holmes; and his grandson Dominic Etzel.
He is survived by: his wife Margarete; his children, Jim Etzel (Teri), Mike Etzel, Ron Etzel and Alice Etzel (Jason); his siblings, Joe Etzel, David Etzel and Kathi Dore; and his grandchildren, JC, John, Bo, Samantha, Laurenn and Kaden. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Everson - Coughlin Funeral Home (112 4th St E, Williston, ND 58801). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Saint Joseph's Catholic Church (106 6th St W, Williston, ND 58801).
