He was predeceased by : his parents, George "Jim" Hicks and Shirley Ann Hoburka (Haug). He is survived by : his daughters, Sadie Hicks of Denver, CO and Chelsea Hicks of Pierre, SD; his close friend Tracy Kringen of Williston, ND; his former life partner Carol Hicks of Pierre, SD; his uncles, Martin Haug (Arlis) of Williston, ND and Jerry Hicks (Betty Jo) of Missoula, MT; his aunt Marliss Stacy (Hoburka) of Oklahoma; and his cousin Julie Clark (Selby). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home Chapel (218 W Highland Dr, Williston, ND 58801). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 6:00 PM and on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 2:00 PM.
