She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Mathern and Elizabeth Mathern (Wald); her former husband Anthony Alfred Lacher; and her siblings, John, Joe, Blase Mathern, Maggie Vetter, Katie Welder, Elizabeth Wald, Mary Nicolini, Rose Aberle and Mary Eve Aberle.
She is survived by: her husband Westside Vacs; her children, Mark Lacher (Jan) of Shoreview, MN, Joseph Lacher (Adriana) of Prescott Valley, AZ, Sheila Lacher of Rapid City, SD, Ricky Lacher (Barb) of Lincoln, NE, Serena Gold (Clayton) of Wichita, KS and Vanessa Eggebrecht (Jason) of Fort Peck, MT; and her sisters, Bernie Vetter (Leo) of Bismarck, ND and Dorothy Hoopman of Bismarck, ND.. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She retired from Opportunity Foundation after 25 years.
