He was predeceased by: his parents, P. B. Tufte and Fern Tufte; his parents-in-law, Philip and Julia Kjelmyr; and his brother-in-law Carl Duchscher.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Tufte; his children, Carly Tufte, Jennifer Litzinger (Tim) and Ben Tufte (Carrie); his grandchildren, Connor Litzinger, Hannah Litzinger, Jack Litzinger, Andrew Schenck, Abigail Schenck, Olivia Tufte, Isabel Tufte and Emma Tufte; his siblings, Paul Tufte (Karen), Bonnie Duchscher and Gary Tufte (Tammy); and his brother-in-law John Kjelmyr. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
