He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Anfinson and Mina Anfinson (Haugen); his wife Donna Anfinson; and his grandson Jaden Anfinson. He is survived by: his sons, John (Nancy) and David Anfinson (Teresa) of Williston, ND; and his grandchildren, Michael, Rachel, Shawn and Carter Anfinson.

He also served on the boards of Scorio Township, Bethel Foundation and Bethel Lutheran Home.
