He is survived by: his wife Melinda Parde of Adams; his children, Kevin Parde (LaVon) of Geneva, NE, Curt Parde (Kaylynn) of Dallas, TX and Sherri Sawyer (Erich) of Omaha, NE; his grandchildren, Luke Parde (Linnea), Nate Parde (Kaydra), Abbie Parde, Natalie Parde, Connor Parde (Gerie Jekeln), Madeline McClernon (Sam) and Claire Parde; his great grandchildren, Emilene and Miles McClernon; his sister Esther Oosting; his siblings-in-law, Lavon Gramann (Max), Veloura Kaufman (Don) and Norbert Harms (Dawn Hill); and his nephew Kenny Newman (Susan). He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the American Lutheran Church of Adams.
