Ellen May Vlasak Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ellen May Vlasak of Adams, Nebraska, who passed away on October 11, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lydamor Vlcek and Estella Vilda Vlcek; her husband Herbert Vlasak; her stepfather William Vlcek; her brother Don Vilda (Violet); her stepbrothers, John Vlcek, Ralph Vlcek and Dean Zavadil; her siblings-in-law, Lawrence Vlasak (Alice) and Pearl Focken (Lawrence); her son-in-law Eugene Jurgens; and her grandson-in-law Eric Pishney.

She is survived by: her children, Karen Jurgens (Donna Kyker) of Lincoln, Roger Vlasak (Diane) of Wilber and Gail May (Brian) of Wilber; her sister Rose Svancara (Frank) of Fountain Hills, AZ; and her stepsiblings, Wilma Zavadil of Lincoln and Lloyd Vlcek (Sandy) of Ocala, FL. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
