She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph J. and Mary G. Simons (Niemeyer); her husband Anton John Mescher; her siblings, Leonard Simons, Jim Simons (Harriet), Donald Simons (June), Stanley Simons (Clara), Marie Borer (Ralph) and Regina Dohmen (Mike); her friend David Arends; and her siblings-in-law, Edward Mescher, Viola Swanson (Leo), Alvina Lodge (Cliff), Ray Mescher and Robert Mescher.
She is survived by: her children, Jim Mescher (Alice) of Albion, NE, Nancy Reicks of Albion, NE, Kate Seier (Dave) of Albion, NE and Fred Mescher (Connie) of Albion, NE; her grandchildren, Amy Freudenburg (Brett), Angie Primrose (Al), Jenna Watson (Troy), Jamie Steinkruger (Blake), JoLynn Kahlandt (J. R.), Shannon Tupe (Mike), Kim Reicks, Buddy Reicks (Shalysse), Shelly Fisher (Ryan), Jeremy Seier (Nicole), Melanie Rankin (Jason), Megan Kollmorgen (Brian), Matt Mescher (Dani) and McKenzie Salter (Jacob); her sisters-in-law, Carol Mescher of Elgin, NE and Mary Ann Mescher of Albion, NE; and her niece Jeanette Simons of Albion, NE. She is also survived by 34 great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 11th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St Michael's Catholic Church (524 W Church St, Albion, NE 68620). A wake was held on Monday, May 11th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Tuesday, May 12th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Michael's Catholic Church (524 W Church St, Albion, NE 68620).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family for a later designation.
