He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Stopak and Elizabeth Stopak (Knopik); his brother Clifford Stopak (Louise); his in-laws, Ronald and Wealtha Schlitt; and his brother-in-law Butch Schlitt.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Diane Stopak of Albion; his children, Timothy Stopak (Jackie) of Albion, Scott Stopak (Janine) of Nampa, ID and Brandi Becker (Corey) of Raymond; his grandchildren, Juan Soto (Jessica) of Sioux Falls, SD, Robert Stopak (Hannah) of Anchorage, AK, Samuel Stopak of Fort Collins, CO, Christina, Jordan Stopak of Kearney, Jacob Stopak-Knoll (Lila) of Caldwell, ID, Gavin Becker of Grand Forks, ND and Zoe Becker of Raymond; his siblings-in-law, Dorothy Ragsdale (Jay) of Oswego, IL, Patricia Samuels (Phil) of Norfolk and Richard Schlitt (Lyn) of Nipomo, CA; and his great grandchildren, Roman and Faye Soto of Sioux Falls, SD. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
