He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Olsen and Violet Olsen (Monk); his wife Gayle Byrne; his in-laws, Gerald and Pearl Byrne; his brother Lyle Olsen; and his brothers-in-law, Don Nelson and Erv Kuehn.
He is survived by: his children, Tracy Lipker (Brent) of Albion, NE, Amy Hooker of Albion, NE, Jeri Wies (Adam) of Petersburg, NE and Scott Olsen (Jill) of Battle Creek, NE; his grandchildren, Amanda Rasmussen (Philip), Michael, Jaxon, Myah Lipker, Tristin, Reagan, Preston Hooker, Karlie, Kaci, Kenzie Wies, Taylor, Hunter and Carter Olsen; his great grandchildren, Collins, Baker, Grant and Cal; his sister Mary Hendricks (George) of Champaign, IL; and his sister-in-law Janice Kuehn of Heartwell, NE. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the St Michael's Catholic Church (524 W Church St, Albion, NE 68620). A wake will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
