Wayne Kenneth Meier Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 28, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Wayne Kenneth Meier of Alda, Nebraska. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Meier, and Catherine Meier, Sr. (Schalk); his brother Carl Meier, Jr. (Loretta); and his daughter Barbara Meier Zulkoski. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Denman of Mary's Cathedral; his son Mike; his daughter-in-law Marta Meier of Phillips, NE; his daughter Michelle Meier of Geneva, NE; his grandchildren, Derrek Meier (Brittany), Adam Meier (Mindy) and Malorie Meier; and his great grandchildren, Brady, Alex, Hunter, Cooper, Steele, Jett and Kruz Meier. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Apfel Funeral Home - Wood River (411 W 11th St, Wood River, NE 68883). A rosary will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church (411 W 11th St, Wood River, NE 68883). A Mass will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date.
