He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Welte and Marie Welte Sr. (Fritz); and his wife Sally Baburek. He is survived by: his children, William Welte (Chris) of Central City, Nebraska and Tammy Odell (Jeffrey) of Greeley, Colorado; his siblings, Carla Jeschke (Steve) of Minnesota, Louis Welte (Jeanne) of Nebraska and Brad Welte (Susan) of California; and his grandchildren, Zack, Zander, Zane Welte, Emma and Nathan Odell.
Memorials may be given to the Knights of Columbus.
