He was predeceased by: his father Donald Garner; his niece Kayla; and his grandparents, Roy, Ruth Garner, Bob and Ruby Soester.
He is survived by: his mother Lola Garner (Soester); his girlfriend Nancy Thurman; his girlfriend's daughter Tara Herman; his grandson Sawyer Benigno; his brothers, Max Garner (Nancy) and Bret Garner (Kathy); his niece Jennifer Lopez (Rob); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Lucas, Brynlee and Myla; and his nephews, Nathan Emmett (Candace), Emery, Kyle Logan (Heather), Tucker, Dylan, Jared and Nick (Kerigan). He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Alliance Eagles Club (1520 W 3rd St, Alliance, NE 69301).
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent in care of Nancy Thurman, 6981 Otoe Road, Alliance, Nebraska, 69301, and given to East Point Horspice or the Box Butte County Fair.
