He was predeceased by: his parents, William Fran and Martha Rose (Naeve); his wife Grace Rose (Carter); and his son Marvin. He is survived by: his daughters, Lucy Gressley of Alliance and Doris (Larry); his grandchildren, Jeanne Glaze, Toby Neal, Kathleen Johnson (Cory), Dustin Marx, Kendra Marx, Alicia Hansen (James), Ashley Rose (Tyrel Clark), Emily O'Handly (Josh) and Jessica Ruzicka (Taylor); his great grandchildren, Layne, Natalie, Logan, Jayden, Tristin, Aubree, Torri, Liam, Espyn and Frankie; his brother Roy; and his siblings-in-law, Kathy Rose of Independence, MO, Lois Carter of Boise, ID and Jerry Lawson of Blue Springs, MO. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bates-Gould Funeral Home (1020 W 10th St, Alliance, NE 69301). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church (1024 Box Butte Ave, Alliance, NE 69301).
