He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Louis and Elma Loretta Howell (Hashman); his daughter Joanna Kaye Hoover; his brother Darrell; his sister-in-law Dixie Howell; and his brother Gordon Howell.
He is survived by: his wife Pat; his daughter Lora Sullivan (Steve) of Alliance; his grandchildren, Allison Hoover (Chris George) of Columbus, Kathryn Martin (Josh), Sorcha Colerick (Josh) and McKenna Leach (Joe Covalt) of Alliance; and his great grandchildren, Cadence, Beckett Martin, Sophia Leach and Hendrix Colerick. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
