He was predeceased by: his wife Eleanor; his parents, Ray Phillips and Irene Phillips; his parents-in-law, Adolph and Emma Ficek; and his brother-in-law Adolph C. Ficek.
He is survived by: his daughter Peggy Ann; his son-in-law Terry Jensen of Alliance, Nebraska; his grandchildren, Scott, Ericka Barber of Ardmore, Michelle, Kurt Garrett of Alliance, Hope and Mason Nicklaus of Amarillo, Texas; his great grandchildren, Kayla Barber, Jarrod Ballard, Scott Barber, Jr., Isabella Green, Aubrey, James Larson, Austin Garrett (Zoe Cole), Nash Nicklaus and Maley Nicklaus; his great great grandchild Casen Barber; his brother Arlee; his sisters-in-law, Betty Phillips of Hemingford and Carina Ficek of Dickinson; and his pet Freckles. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A rosary will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the St. Bridget Catholic Church (801 Niobrara Ave, Hemingford, NE 69348). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
