Rebecca M. Martin Obituary

Rebecca Malia (Martin) Martinez passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024 in Alliance, Nebraska.

Becky was born on August 10, 1955 to Fred and Shirley (Harding) Martin in Valley City, ND.

She graduated from Chadron High School in Chadron, NE in 1973. She also graduated from Chadron State College in 2004 with Bachelors in Social Work. She then worked for the Aging Office of Nebraska. Health complications from COPD would force her early retirement.

Becky is survived by her daughters, Shawna (Jack) DeLancy of Bayard, Teja (Kobe American Horse) Martin of Lincoln, Iowblu Martin of Lincoln, her sons, Kaleb Martinez and Gage Martinez of Lincoln. She is also survived by her step-mother, Ardis Martin of Valley City, ND, her sisters, Audrey (Tom) Hoerler of Alliance and Nicole (Tye) Pourier of Charon, her brother, Shawn (Karen Moran) Harding of Lincoln, her step-brothers, Jon (Zona) Wagar of Valley City, ND, Fred (Terrie) Wagar of Las Vegas, NV and Mike (Amy) Wagar of Phoenix, AZ, her grandson, Kylin (Tianna Nelson) Martin of Alliance, her great-grandson, Michael Martin of Alliance, her special niece, Malia (Nick) Wellmann of Alliance and her beloved dog, Asher.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Harding (Jay Bradt) of Chadron, her father, Fred Martin of Valley City, ND, her son, Mike Martin of Chadron and her dog, Paco.

Memorial services will be Sunday, January 5, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Bates-Gould Chapel.

Memorials may be given to the Alliance Animal Shelter.
