Vera A. Sherlock Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Vera A. Sherlock (Alliance, Nebraska). Vera, born on March 31, 1925, passed away on September 15, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clara Weare (Hockett) and John Weare; her siblings, Alvin Weare, Joe Weare (Emma), Ralph Weare, Elizabeth Kieper (Harold), Ruth Kieper (Joe) and Dorothy Weare; her sons, Malvin (Susan Sherlock) and Mark Sherlock; her grandson Corey Leisy; and her great grandchild Landree Leisy.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Sherlock (Mary) of Ogallala, Linda Davis (Gil), Dale Sherlock (Colleen Turman), Pat Sherlock (Tammy), Tom Sherlock and Kate Sherlock (Rich Hunter); and her daughters-in-law, Joyce Sherlock of Alliance and Nancy Sherlock of Alliance. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 2 expected great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Bates-Gould Chapel (1020 W 10th St, Alliance, NE 69301). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church (1104 W 10th St, Alliance, NE 69301).
Memorials may be given to Highland Park Care Center.
