She was predeceased by: her parents, William Elmer and Nina Edra Gregory (Weliver); her husband Sam; her daughter-in-law Elizabeth Gillette; her siblings, Cecilia Lincoln (George), Erma Ulmer (Dean), Lloyd Gregory (Jesse) and Jack Gregory (Betty); and her siblings-in-law, Charles "Chuck" Gillette (Norma), Eugene "Gene" Gillette, John Gillette (Virginia), Mary Jane Postlewaite (George) and Julia Mattley (Theodore "Ted").

She is survived by: her children, Gregory Gillette of Phoenix, Arizona, Eugene Gillette of Alma and Mary Gillette of Alma; her granddaughter Cynthia Hewson (Dan) of Phoenix; her sons, Charles Gillette of Phoenix and Alexander Gillette (Maria) of Phoenix; her great grandchildren, Macy and Mia Riggins; and her grandsons, Samuel Hewson and Xavier Gillette. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A memorial has been established in Ruth's honor, and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
