He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert L King and Lenore King (Reinertson); his brother John King; and his great grandchild Wyatt Taubenheim. He is survived by: his wife Joan Richter DeLaet; his children, Carol Page (Doug) of Weber, KS, Janice Taubenheim (Tim) of Amherst Nebraska, Raymond King (Linnea) of Amherst Nebraska, Leland King of Amherst Nebraska, Patty Reisinger (Mike Dallmann) of Kearney, Linda Nye (Matt) of Huntington Beach and Sally Mangers (Tim) of Kearney; his grandchildren, Brett Taubenheim, Jody Jones (Scott), Izaac King (Marisa), Mori Ernst (Greg), Connor King, Jeremy, Nathan Page (Lauren), Matt Reisinger (Colby), Jackie Kim (Solomon), Shannon Nye (Jordan Gold), Mattie Nye, Robert Mangers, Andrew Mangers (Brianna) and Ali Eynetich (Braiden); his great grandchildren, Kobe, Kyler Jones, Tinley, Toben King, Blake, Jase, Rhett, Jack Ernst, Shelby, Mason, Brody Page and Taylor; his grandchildren, Spencer, Penny Page, Mason Mangers, Teddy Reisinger, Grace Kim, Chloe, Waylon and Lainey Mangers; his great great grandchild Giovanni Page; and his sisters-in-law, Donna King and Kathy Hoins (Kari).
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services (2421 Avenue A, Kearney, NE 68847). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (107 N Cherry St, Amherst, NE 68812).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church or the Amherst Volunteer Fire Department.
