She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Peterson and Adele Peterson (Meyer); her siblings, Merel Peterson, Wayne Peterson and Norma Pavlis; and her husband Garry Friesen.
She is survived by: her sons, Bud Sanderson (Linda) of O'Neill, NE, Leonard Sanderson (Christine) of Eustace, TX and Tony Sanderson (Susan) of Chambers, NE. She is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Biglin's Mortuary (111 N 3rd St, O'Neill, NE 68763). A prayer was held on Wednesday, September 17th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Biglin's Mortuary - O'Neill (111 N 3rd St, O'Neill, NE 68763). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (903 N State Hwy 11, Atkinson, NE 68713). A graveside service was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 at 11:15 AM at the Chambers Cemetery.
