It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Stoltenberg of Atkinson, Nebraska, born in Burke, South Dakota, who passed away on March 18, 2026, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Schoenefeld and Vera Schoenefeld (Sieh); her in-laws, Frank and Theresa Stoltenberg; her son David Jon; her brother Wayne Schoenefeld; and her great grandchildren, Traydon Tobias and Aubrey Coyle.
She is survived by: her husband Ken Stoltenberg of Atkinson; her sons, Todd (Michele) of Atkinson, Gary (Mardell) of Stuart and Bret Stoltenberg (Kelly) of St. Paul, NE; her brothers, Dennis Schoenefeld (Mary) of Butte, NE and Dale Schoenefeld (Sara) of Tulsa, OK; and her siblings-in-law, Barb Schoenefeld of Herrick, SD and Bob Wentz of Naper, NE. She is also survived by 9 Grandkids and 20 Great Grandkids.
