He was predeceased by: his parents, Darrell J. Ortgiesen and Elsie M. Ortgiesen (Seal); and his parents-in-law, Marvin and Carolyn Klassen (David). He is survived by: his wife Jayne Ortgiesen of Atlanta; his son J. D. Ortgiesen (Noelle) of Atlanta; his grandchildren, Taya, Race and Link; his brother Rodney Ortgiesen (Denise) of Omaha, Nebraska; his niece Erin Jourdan (Ben) of Omaha; and his nephew Adam Ortgiesen (Shelly) of Omaha. He is also survived by relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home (401 Burlington St, Holdrege, NE 68949). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM and on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 10:30 AM.
A memorial has been established in Larry's honor to the family.
