He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles T. Rivett and Martha Rivett; his wife Dorothy; his son Austin Rivett; his daughter-in-law Mary; his daughter Deb Reiman (Kevin); his grandchildren, Allyson Warner (Tyler), Weston Reiman Maddie (Frankie), Dakota, Denise, Marlie, Skylar, Hialee, Ihrey, Rianna and Riley Reiman; his great grandchildren, Jeter, Ginny and Kal; and his grandson Kade Reiman.

Visitation was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Hemmingsen Funeral Home (801 S St, Auburn, NE 68305). A rosary was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Family Will Greet Friends Hemmingsen Funeral Home (801 S St, Auburn, NE 68305). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (2221 N St, Auburn, NE 68305).
