It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wayne D Koehler (Auburn, Nebraska), born in Humboldt, Nebraska, who passed away on May 17, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilber and Iona (Ottemann); his daughter Paula Deisely; and his siblings-in-law, Linda Koehler and John Andreesen.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Andreesen of Savior's Lutheran Church; his children, Jeff Koehler (Ami) of Johnson, Jayse, Jordan, Brody, Matt (Brandi) of Omaha, Milo, Jennifer Borg (Zac) of Lincoln, Emmett and Mabel; his sons-in-law, Chad Deisely of Arapahoe, Morgan (Jered Lemkau) and Tanner; his siblings, Carol Oestmann (Willis) of Elkhorn, Gerold Koehler (Debbie) of Joplin, MO and Roger Koehler (Debbie) of Claremore, OK; and his siblings-in-law, Louella Andreesen of Auburn and Dave Norton (Betty) of Filley. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 20th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Hemmingsen Funeral Home (801 S St, Auburn, NE 68305). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Lutheran Church (62971 NE-62, Humboldt, NE 68376).
