He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Kohtz and Martha Kohtz (Otto); his sister Phyllis Weber; and his granddaughter Victoria Nelson. He is survived by: his wife Agnes Oberg; his children, Alan (Bridget), Bob (Linda), John (Barb), Susan Heiden (Dan) and Cathy Nelson (Roger); his grandchildren, Matt Kohtz, Meghan Kohtz, Patrick Kohtz, Shane Kohtz, Jessica Phillips, Andrea Henn, Katie Bax, Stephanie Frye, Preston Nelson, Tyler Kohtz, Kyle Kohtz, Kelsey Kohtz, Kaelyn Kohtz, Jason Kohtz, Melissa Baxter and Brock Kohtz; and his brother-in-law Paul Weber. He is also survived by 25 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the family to designate for future use.
