He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Niles and Gladys Niles (Young); his wife Beth Wilmot; and his son Mark. He is survived by: his children, Medea Boguslaw (Dave) of Excelsior Springs, MO, Joni Truka (Mitch) and Kirk Niles (Debb) of Aurora; and his grandchildren, Danielle Holcomb (Dillon) of Grain Valley, MO, David Boguslaw (Jamie) of Elm Creek, Danae Frazier (Ace) of Greenville, SC, Nolan Miska Lincoln (Emma), Kate Woods of Sydney, Michael Truka (Chelsea) of Lincoln, Tyler Boguslaw of Overland Park, KS, Justin Niles (Natasha) of Phillips, Andi Niles of Grand Island, Ryane Niles of Grand Island, Madalyn Boguslaw of Independence, MO, Tristen Truka of Martell and Torren Boguslaw (Aleksandra) of Excelsior Springs, MO. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Higby-McQuiston Mortuary (1404 L St, Aurora, NE 68818). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Red Cloud Cemetery (218 Arch St, Red Cloud, NE 68970).
