She was predeceased by: her parents, Ubbe Schmidt and Nellie Schmidt (Henderson); her stepfather Al Pashkevch; her son Roger Rawson; her son-in-law Delbert Krejci; her siblings, Harold, Ruben Schmidt and Bonnie Knight; and her sisters-in-law, Dorthy and Ruth Schmidt.
She is survived by: her children, Mike Newman (Virginia) of Grand Island, Doug Rawson (Kim) of Oxford, Teresa Krejci (Robert) of Oklahoma City and Lori Ducsay of Oklahoma City; her grandchildren, Reggie Newman (Mel) of Omaha, Randy Newman (Megan) of Omaha, Cassandra Newman of Tacoma, WA, Wayne (Michelle) of Oxford, Adam (Jessica) of Lincoln, Jeremy (Cami) of Hickman, Amanda Rawson (Roberto) of Lincoln, Dale Krejci (Cassie) of Holdrege and Julie Melton of Holdrege; and her stepgrandsons, Eldon Grantzinger (Dee) of Kearney and Gary Grantzinger (Lori) of Grand Island. She is also survived by 25 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Destiny Church (4306 US-30, Grand Island, NE 68803). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
