James Wayne Rathman Obituary

We are sad to announce that on September 23, 2025, at the age of 76, James Wayne Rathman of Aurora, Nebraska passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Rathman and Norma Rathman; his brothers, Don and Michael Rathman; and his sisters-in-law, Laveda Rathman and Yolanda Rathman.

He is survived by: his wife Becky Rathman; his children, Laurie Barry (Brian), Jim Rathman (Jessica) and Jeff Rathman (Rachel); his grandchildren, Lexi and Wes Rathman; his stepgranddaughter Jade Moylar; his brother Tom Rathman; and his sisters-in-law, Karla Smith and Shirley Strotman.

Visitation was held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (1420 9th St, Aurora, NE 68818). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
