He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn E. Ekhoff and Arva Ekhoff (Post); his wife Mary; and his siblings, Barbara Shriver and Dallas Ekhoff.

He is survived by: his children, Brock Ekhoff (Renee) of Aurora, Kory Ekhoff (Heather) of Aurora and Hillary Fuhrman of Central City; his grandchildren, Morgan, Ford Ekhoff, Kinleigh Ekhoff, Hope Fuhrman (Caleb), Cameron Orsburn (Kelly) and Heather Kozak (Mitch); his great grandchildren, Camila Orsburn, Ghenai, CeCe, Ari and Daisy Kozak; his brother Gene Ekhoff (Diane) of Cook; his nephew Kipp; his brother-in-law Darwin Shriver of Council Bluffs, IA; his girlfriend Linda (family: Nicole Nichols, Morgan, Matthew); and his sons, Brayden, Bridger and Christopher. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
