He was predeceased by: his parents, David C. Vaught and Beverly F. Vaught; his brothers, Mike and Rick; his brother-in-law Kenneth Daily; and his pet Lily.

He is survived by: his sons, Blake M. (Kyla) of Omaha and Chase M. (Madalyn) of Aurora; his wife Kimberly Ann; his grandchildren, James Morgan, Violet Louise, Paige Elizabeth and Adrienne Harper; his siblings, Nancy Friesen (Curt) of Henderson, Bradley (Kimberly) of Grand Island, Todd (Chris) of Aurora and David K. (Virginia) of Libby, Montana; his sister-in-law Cheryl Vaught of Henderson; his parents-in-law, Don and Jody Daily of Kearney; and his siblings-in-law, Tammy (Jim Purdum) and Dennis Daily of Mullen.
