With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Larry Allen Bockelman of Aurora, Nebraska, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Larry left this world on March 11, 2026 at the age of 75, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Bockelman and Shirley Bockelman (VanBuskirk); and his son Jonah. He is survived by: his siblings, Barbara Maxon (Bill), James Bockelman (Pam), Darwin Bockelman (Dawn) and Tina Wright (Mark); his daughter Toni Brandt (Aric); his grandchildren, Zane, Caliber and Graysha; his great grandchild Keal Bockelman (Hayle); and his grandchildren, Kale, Indy, Kian, Kylo, Kipp and Jayla.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to be designated at a later date.

“Larry was a lifelong friend that I met at USD/S through the Cross Country and Track & Field programs. He was a great teammate that never got upset about anything so was a good example for so many of us. Larry was a member of the Running Water Jock run...a story for another time. Over the years we exchanged Christmas letters keeping each other abreast of our lives and our kids. We were so glad to see Larry and Kerri a couple years ago on a road trip. He will be missed. Mark Stanforth”
