She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Mason and Ruth Mason (Powers); her husband Rollie Carter; and her siblings, Phyllis Cornelius (Ed), Betty Robinson (Al), Marjorie Kleitsch (Bill), Shirley Burg (Dick), Alice Madden (Pat) and Jim Mason (Kay).
She is survived by: her children, Jennifer Crunk of Lincoln, John Carter (Maren) of Omaha, Lee Carter of Aurora and Mitch Carter (Tanya) of Castle Pines, CO. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and other family and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the United Methodist Church (1104 A St, Aurora, NE 68818). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be to the United Methodist Church, Aurora Memorial Hospital or Aurora School Foundation.
