Belva J. Kirchhoff Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Belva J. Kirchhoff of Avoca, Nebraska, born in Pocatello, Idaho, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 15, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Johnson and June Johnson (Barker); her husband Harlan Diedriech Kirchhoff; her parents-in-law, Fred John and Caroline Emma Sophie Kirchhoff (Ludwig); her brother Jerry Johnson; her daughter-in-law Kim Kirchhoff (Scheef); and her grandson Jess Ryan Kirchhoff.
She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Meek (Lou) of Omaha, Shane Kirchhoff (Mary) of Avoca and Michele Mueller (Steve) of Avoca; her grandchildren, Lori Kirchhoff of Syracuse, Lizabeth Kirchhoff of Omaha, Joel Mueller (Marci) of Panama, Carolyn Meek of Omaha and Jordan Mueller (Brittany) of Palmyra; her great grandchildren, Hailey, Ryan, Emma Kirchhoff of Syracuse, Jerome Jr., Talan, Sophia Green of Omaha, Sawyer and Hudson Mueller of Palmyra; and her brothers, David Johnson (Becky) of Lampasas, TX and Darrel Johnson (Jan) of Avoca.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fusselman-Allen-Harvey Funeral Home - Syracuse Chapel (644 Park St, Syracuse, NE 68446). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First Lutheran Church (1434 N 30th Rd, Avoca, NE 68307).
In lieu of flowers memorial suggested to the Syracuse Rescue Squad and Fire Department.
