She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold J. Gress and Margaret A. Gress (Meyer). She is survived by: her husband Harold H. Ehmke; her sons, Brian Ehmke (Patti) and Brad Ehmke (Lori); her grandchildren, Andrew Cole (Brittney), Rylee Smyth (Brett), Brennan Ehmke (Kyle), Jared Ehmke and Jace Ehmke; her great grandchildren, Wade, Judd, Molly Smyth, Lennon, Walker Cole and Carter Ehmke; and her siblings, Larry Gress, Carol Jean Fitzgerald, Harold "Budge" Gress and Judy Braunschweig. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fusselman-Allen-Harvey Funeral Home (644 Park St, Syracuse, NE 68446). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Lutheran Church (1434 N 30th Rd, Avoca, NE 68307).
Memorials are suggested to the Avoca Fire Department or First Lutheran Church (North Branch).
