We are sad to announce that, on May 6, 2026, Carol J. Christensen of Axtell, Nebraska passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Ernest and Zona Belle Volgamore (McCarty); her parents-in-law, Orval and Marie Christensen; and her brothers-in-law, Robert Christensen (Audrey), Jim Patsios and Cletus Coffey.
She is survived by: her husband Vern L. Christensen of Axtell; her children, Sonja Pebeck of Hastings and Chad Christensen of Minden; her grandchildren, Foster Christensen, Myles Christensen and Griffyn Pebeck; and her siblings, Arlene Patsios, Karen Coffey and Ervin Volgamore (Shirley). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended relatives and close friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Carol’s honor are kindly suggested to the Axtell Volunteer Fire Department or the American Red Cross in Kearney.
