Gregory W. Jelden Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 21, 2025, at the age of 73, Gregory W. Jelden (Axtell, Nebraska) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Jelden and Fern Jelden (Nelson); his parents-in-law, Leo and Clementine Mroczek; and his siblings-in-law, Lavern Mroczek, Raymond Mroczek, Jim Palu, Randy Banzhaf and Marge Mroczek.
He is survived by: his wife Jan (Jan) of Keene; his sons, Jon (Jon) of Fort Collins, CO, Josh (Kelly) of Kearney and Joe (Kelsi) of Bennington; his grandchildren, Harper, Kollins and Andrew; his siblings, Jeff Jelden of Hildreth, Blaine (Joan) of Axtell, Dianne Jelden Bute (Joel) and Kaye Banzhaf; and his siblings-in-law, Phyllis Mroczek of Loup City, Marian Palu of Loup City, Patricia Arnold (Don) of Ord, Tom Mroczek of York and Ron Mroczek (Peg) of Loup City. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended relatives and close friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Bethany Lutheran Church (903 25 Rd, Axtell, NE 68924). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bethany Lutheran Church-Axtell (903 25 Rd, Axtell, NE 68924).
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Greg's honor are kindly suggested to Bethany Lutheran Church in Axtell, Axtell Volunteer Fire Department, Hildreth Volunteer Fire Department, or to the Axtell Veterans Memorial.
