Alvin D. Sorensen Obituary

The memory of Alvin D. Sorensen of Bancroft, Nebraska, who passed away on June 4, 2025 at the age of 95, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jeff Sorensen and Anna Sorensen (Elsasser); his wife Laura Sorensen of John's Lutheran Church; and his siblings, Marie Jahnke, Florence Cook, Kathryn Peterson, Lyle Sorensen, Jacob Sorensen and Warren Sorensen.

He is survived by: his sons, Duane Sorensen (Marilyn) of Lincoln, NE, Dudley Sorensen (Jichelle) of Waverly, NE and Brian Sorensen (Debbie) of Bancroft, NE; and his grandchildren, Jessica Sorensen, Jenna Sorensen, Ethan Sorensen (Taileigh), Erin Wessels (Spencer), Kelsey Abrahamson (Jared), Audrey Sorensen and Cole Sorensen. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation was held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Munderloh - Smith Funeral Home - Bancroft (311 Main St, Bancroft, NE 68004). A funeral service was held on Monday, June 9th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
