She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion C Springer and Reva Springer (Mays); her husband Elmo Sughroue; her siblings, Francis Springer (Janet), Dale Springer, Leta Boyles (Dewitt), Nellie Winters and Dixie Lorentz (Marvin); her grandson Rafael Hernandez; and her great grandchildren, Tommy and Anna Hernandez.
She is survived by: her children, Paul Sughroue (Pam) of Sawyer, OK, Marion Sughroue (Shalene) of Bartley, NE, Wilfred Sughroue (Sheri) of Bartley, NE, Alvaro Hernandez (Debra) of Mexia, TX and Steve Miller (Rose) of Corydon, IN; and her siblings-in-law, Lennie Winters of Imperial, NE and Maxine Springer of Thousand Oaks, CA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and a host of extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carpenter-Breland Funeral Home (305 W C St, McCook, NE 69001). A rosary was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St John the Baptist Catholic Church. A burial was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 11:45 AM to 12:45 PM at the Saint John's Catholic Cemetery.
