She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary and B. Huffman; her sister Mary "MeMo" Schelkopf; and her husband Lewis Strand. She is survived by: her children, Michelle Heuertz (Greg) of Hastings, Jennifer Beck (Robert) of Cozad, NE and Matthew Strand of Colorado Springs, CO; and her grandchildren, Jake Stenka (Tiffini) of Nebraska City, NE, Josh Stenka (Paige) of Norfolk, NE, Maddy Bowman (Will) of Wayne, NE and Austin Heuertz (Hannah) of Hastings. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren; extended family, cousins, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and many friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bassett American Legion Club. A memorial service was held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at the same location.
