He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Sinks and Ruby Sinks (Bright); his brothers, David Sinks and Gary Sinks; and his daughter Melissa Sinks Tucker.

He is survived by: his children, Christopher Sinks Tucker (Amber) of Polson, Montana, Gage Coduto (Stacie) of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, Kyle Sinks of Lodgepole, Nebraska, Reed Sinks (Cara) of Sylvester, Georgia and Aislinn Sinks of Sidney, Nebraska.; and his sister Joyce Shaffer (J. R.) of Livermore, Colorado. He is also survived by his ten granddaughters; and his two grandsons.
