He was predeceased by: his parents, David Ewald and Maureen Ewald (Danforth); and his sister Correena "Cori" Ewald. He is survived by: his children, Alex Ewald (Taylor Trones) of Beatrice and Mattie Ewald of Skagway, Alaska; and his stepson Jesse Joyce of Lincoln.
