The memory of Bethel A. Riens of Beatrice, Nebraska, who passed away on September 27, 2025 at the age of 93, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, William H. Nickeson and Mae Anna Nickeson (Carpenter); her husband Virgil Riens; her son Johnny D. Riens; her siblings, Evelyn Tiemann (Earl) and William Nickeson (Shirley); and her sisters-in-law, Eunice McKernan (Joe), Janice Seidel (Eugene) and Irene Kracke (Robert).
She is survived by: her children, Judy Grummert (Darol) of Daykin, Larry Riens (Carol) of Beatrice and Dan Riens (Cindy) of North Platte; her grandchildren, Matthew Grummert (Leslie), Mitchell Grummert (Traci), Michael Grummert (Keri), Curtis Riens (Taneil), Kelsie Schroeder (Cory), Kimberly Raasch (Tyler), Brett Griffeth (Jennie), Kristal Shestak (Kip), John Riens (Nancy) and Jesse Riens (Michelle); her great grandchildren, Alysa Strieder (Colin), Lilly, Bronx Grummert, Eric Bridgmon (Sarah), Wyatt, Weston, Jackson Grummert, Tristan, Preston Raasch, Tenli Smutny, Cade, Rae Schroeder, Ayden, Kasen Griffeth, Kooper, Kolbie Shestak, Jaelynn, Wesley and Oliver Riens; and her great great grandchildren, Brantley and Jesse Bridgmon. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Fox Funeral Home & Cremation Services (1116 N 19th St, Beatrice, NE 68310). A prayer will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 10:15 AM to 10:30 AM at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church (1918 Garfield St, Beatrice, NE 68310). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Beatrice and to the family for future designation with Dallen and Nancy Johnsen in charge.
