She was predeceased by: her parents, August Krikava and Anna Krikava (Dezort); her husband Chuck; her son Ron; her grandson James Essam; and her brothers, Ernest, Eddie and Kenneth.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Theasmeyer (Bob) of Gothenburg, Elaine Essam (John) of Beatrice, Diane Barnard (Gail) of Beatrice, Janelle Keller (Rick) of Topeka and Dave Vrtiska (Judy) of Wymore; and her siblings-in-law, Mike Vrtiska (Carol) of Beatrice and Betty Bedea (Gary) of Table Rock. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Harman - Wright Mortuary (623 Elk St, Beatrice, NE 68310). A rosary was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church - Beatrice (612 High St, Beatrice, NE 68310). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to Cottonwood Hospice in care of the mortuary.
