He is survived by: his mother Emma Evers (Zimmerman) of Beatrice; his wife Cindy; his children, Shannon Wilson (Shane) of Gering, Craig Evers (Lisa) of Beatrice and Michelle Bartels (Eric) of Plymouth; his grandchildren, Haleigh Osienger (Richie), Tyler Fralin, Dalaney Evers, Morgan Wegner (Riley), Tanner Wilson (Taylor), Josh Wilson, Paige and Jamie Bartels; his great grandchildren, Kinzlee, Melah, Boone and Brentley; his sisters, Sharon Vrtiska (Nick) of Beatrice and Shirleen Schwisow (Bruce) of Beatrice; and his siblings-in-law, Donna Evers of Beatrice, Bobbie Hudson (Tom) of Wilber, Becky Tapee of Beatrice, Sara Keuten (Randy) of Diller, Trish Tapee of Papillion, Steve Tapee (Annie) of Jefferson City and Patrick Tapee (Shell) of Beatrice. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial is established to Parkinson's research and the Beatrice Backpack Program.
